Brent in Local Paper
|
The local newspaper for Portage County - the Record Courier - published a front page story on Brent today (sunday). It's a good read. This is his first printed piece of press and it's great to hear that the local town is getting news of Brent. Other than just, "the Haylett's guy."

Album News
|
Everyone has been asking when is the CD coming out. We find it hard to pick a release date because we aren't sure how long this stuff takes (getting the CD's made, especially). So we aren't going to promise a date until we can for sure fulfill that promise).
But as of now, all the songs are done that are going on the album. Brent should have sent the disc off to the copyright office people. If not, then he needs to get a move on that. We wanted to put one more track on it, but we couldn't get a finished version of "Karma" that we were satisfied with. But we'll probably release that as a special song some time in the future.
So once the album is copywritten, we can get the final versions together and send it off to get pressed. And that's when we do the album artwork and all that. That should be the major step in the process. We have looked into distributors, but we are so inexperienced at this that it feels a bit over our heads. For sure this record will be available to purchase in Brent's merch store and through various online distributors. But chances are that you won't be able to walk into your local brick and mortar store and pick it up. Not unless someone wants to sign Brent to a distro deal. Which we aren't going to worry about that yet. We want to get the record out and distro it ourselves.
So that's the update. We are shooting for Thanksgiving. Hopefully! |

G4TV's Dana sings Space Camp
|
Dana from G4TV was in town this past weekend for some super good times. We threw just about every kind of crazy Mantuan at her we could, but she was not phased in the slightest. She loved it and here are the videos to prove it. She surprised us with her own version of "Space Camp" and gives a little erotic tribute to Dan Haylett (the guy who upchucked in Zero Gravity and has his own personal basketball court) at the end. No, we did not expect that!
